Résumé du poste
Under the responsibility of the Waterfront Coordinator:
Prepare, animate and supervise aquatic and nautical activities during the day (tube, canoe, kayak, swimming, etc.)
Ensure the safety of campers and employees at the beach and on the camp
– Know, communicate and enforce the regulations in the bathing area and in the boats
– Know and apply emergency procedures
Facilitate large group activities during evening activities, rainy days, theme days, etc.
Collaborate with animators, counselors and other lifeguards to plan, adapt, animate and supervise activities
Explain and animate the activities so that the counselors can actively contribute
Adapt the activities according to the available resources (staff and equipment), the skill level of the campers and their interests
Use the equipment at your disposal and ensure its maintenance and storage
When you’re not running programs at the beach, you’ll be helping out in your assigned cabin, assisting campers with activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, hygiene care, transfers, etc.).

Exigences et conditions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum age: 17 years and Secondary 5 completed
Employment related experience: An asset
Languages spoken/written: Mandatory bilingual (French, English)
Required skills :
Valid National Lifeguard Certification
Have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card
Have knowledge of the activities offered: water skiing, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, rabaska, sailing, pontoon
Be responsible, mature, active, dynamic, creative, organized, with initiative and like to animate
Excellent communicator
Enjoy working with children and young adults and be ready to invest in their well-being and personal development
Will be considered as an asset (not mandatory to apply):
Training in a related field
Knowledge of clients living with a physical, hearing, visual or language impairment
Hold your D.A.F.A. (Diploma of aptitude for the functions of animators)
PDSB training
Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or Quebec Sign Language (LSQ)
National Beach Lifeguard
SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Salary offer: Starting at $900/week + retention bonus, and referral bonus
Employment status: Seasonal, full time, day, evening, night, weekend
Duration of employment: May 29 to August 30, 2026, 13 weeks (including training)
Conditions: Meals and accommodation provided; must remain on site for the duration of the camps; 6-12 consecutive day work period with scheduled breaks and 2-3 days off between sessions.
