Bishop’s University is seeking a Student Recruitment & Admissions Officer for a temporary full-time position. Reporting to the Manager of Student Recruitment & Retention, the incumbent will recruit for the University, visiting high schools, and CÉGEPS located in the province of Quebec, and attending educational fairs throughout the country, with the potential to recruit internationally and across Canada. The incumbent will participate in the coordination of recruitment efforts including scheduling of school visits, participation in educational fairs and organization of on-campus and off-campus events virtually and or in person. The incumbent will also support the day-to-day operation of the Student Recruitment & Retention Office including the campus tour program and other administrative tasks as required.

The position requires dynamic public speaking communicating effectively in both English and French in a variety of situations; therefore, the incumbent must have strong presentation, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a competitive spirit and the drive to not only attain, but surpass, recruitment targets. The incumbent must also be able to analyse market conditions to suggest strategic improvements. The incumbent will establish, maintain, and improve relationships between Bishop’s University and guidance counsellors and school officials from high schools and CÉGEPS.

Exigences et conditions

University degree, preferably from Bishop’s University;
Excellent oral and written skills in English and French;
Strong public relations and presentation skills;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to work independently with little supervision;
Strong sense of initiative;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills;
Willingness to work weekends and irregular hours;
Valid driver’s license and passport.

$27.49 to $35.85 per hour
