Résumé du poste

Under the direction of the general director and economic development coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible to support the tourism industry on the territory of the MRC du Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent.

-To promote the tourism industry on the Lower North Shore, through activities such as (but not limited to):
-Promote financing programs and help promoters access available funds;
-Analyzing and processing of funding applications;
-Advising and accompanying promoters in the development of their projects, including start-up and expansion projects.

-Encourage and support tourism industry stakeholders in the territory:
-Work closely with other stakeholders in the concertation of issues affecting the development of this industry; Organize various
-meetings, workshops and information sessions;
-Participation in various industry-related committees and working groups.

Exigences et conditions

The successful candidate must have a college diploma in tourism, in administration or in any relevent discipline. Job experience in a related field would be an asset. The successful candidate must be able to speak and write French and English.
Additional requirements include:
-Demonstrate initiative and autonomy;
-Ability to work in a team and good organizational skills;
-A strong sense of professionalism, punctuality, and thoroughness;
-Good knowledge of the territory would be an asset.

The salary offered is in line with the current policy (salary and benefits).

The weekly work schedule is advantageous and offers a condensed schedule from Monday to Friday noon. A teleworking policy is in place.

Position : on the territory of the MRC du Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent.
