YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As an electrical technician on the engineering team and reporting to the Ski-Doo R&D Project Manager, your primary focus will be to support the design, development and validation of electrical and mechatronic systems for a recreational vehicle product line. You’ll have the opportunity to:

Produce and validate functional prototypes of electronic and mechatronic systems.
Support engineering workshops in the assembly, diagnosis and validation of prototypes.
Perform various voltage and current measurements on different vehicle components (control modules, batteries, magneto, regulator, engine components and accessories).
Upload software to various control modules and assist engineers in their validation plan by conducting tests in the workshop and outdoors on snow.
Produce electrical harness component lists (fuses, connectors and wires) for prototypes and for production within the engineering release period.
Support production start-up at various BRP plants by collaborating with the production, purchasing, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering teams.
Produce electrical schematics for technical publications.

Exigences et conditions

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

A technical college diploma in electrical engineering, electrotechnics or another related field.
Knowledge and skills in electrical engineering, electromechanics and electrical circuit manufacturing.
The ability to take initiative, autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility.
Professional communication skills in English and French (written and spoken).
Experience with SEE ELECTRICAL, CRETA and INCA software would be an asset.
Knowledge of gasoline engine operation would be an asset.
Manual and motor dexterity to perform electrical repairs and physical testing.
Available to travel occasionally.
*Please note that due to the nature of this position, an office presence is required 5 days a week.
