Position summary:
Townshippers’ Association is looking for a Senior Wellness Project Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating all the Association’s health and social services activities for seniors through our Senior Wellness Centre program.

Major responsibilities:
• Coordinate weekly and/or monthly activities for Townshippers’ Association’s 4 Senior Wellness Centres (Bury, Knowlton, Sherbrooke, and Richmond) in collaboration with senior volunteer coordinators in the communities and community partners;
• Organize and facilitate planning meetings for the Senior Wellness Centre activities with each community’s organizing committee or volunteers;
• Coordinate Townshippers’ Association’s SHARP program and run monthly virtual information sessions in collaboration with CHSSN’s SHARP team;
• Coordinate Educaloi information sessions (3 per year), either virtually or in person;
• Participate in CHSSN’s Senior Wellness Centres’ Community of Practice activities (virtually and in person; approximately 4 times per year);
• Distribute important health and social services information during the seniors’ activities/workshops;
• Create and distribute surveys for participants, as needed;
• Create, distribute, and advertise the activity calendars in collaboration with the Association’s communications team and local partners;
• Participate in meetings and consultations regarding issues for seniors’, as needed;
• Participate in monthly Townshippers’ Association staff meetings;
• Manage reporting for the senior wellness activities, with assistance and guidance from the NPI Network Development Officer;
• Other tasks may be assigned by the NPI Network Development Officer or the Director of Programs and Communications, as needed.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should enjoy working in the public, and specifically have a desire to contribute to programs aimed at a senior population. They should have strong organizational skills and be comfortable handling multiple tasks concurrently. The candidate will be required to host meetings or events, plan activities for a senior population, and collect registration information from participants.

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:
• Excellent mastery of English (oral, written, comprehension) and strong French skills (oral, written, comprehension);
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
• Public speaking and meeting facilitation skills;
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn quickly and efficiently other related tools (e.g., Office 365, Canva, Zoom, Teams);
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow a workplan;
• Experience with project and event planning will be considered an asset;
• Experience working with seniors and volunteers will be considered an asset.

$23.50 - $25 per hour
