The Position
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Junior Associate is responsible for assisting
the Director and the Associate Director of Admissions in all aspects of the enrolment
management process. The Junior Associate is responsible for maintaining data and
forecasting models to help the Admissions Office enroll students who advance the
School’s mission while respecting the admission and financial aid budgets. This position
will actively participate and contribute to the admissions-marketing decisions and is a
member of the Financial Assistance Committee.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage applicant files from inquiry to enrolment, including scheduling tours,
interviews, and testing with prospective and applicant families
• Lead the department’s virtual presence, including tour coordination, virtual event
planning and advising on future initiatives
• In conjunction with the Communications and Marketing Department, periodically
review and update third-party platforms, including online databases, school
profiles, images, and video content
• Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Department to ensure all
admission-related promotional tools are current and effective including the
website, prospectus and supporting marketing material
• Assist the IT Department in resolving any admissions related database issues
• Lead the annual content review of the Admissions section of the School’s website
• Formulate and enhance relationships with various constituencies
• Travel (both domestic and international) while representing the school at
secondary school fairs and open houses and meets with key constituent
• Promote Bishop’s College School to prospective families, feeder schools,
educational consultants, and referral organizations both internationally and
domestically.
• Communicate effectively with families and consultants about the value and
features of a Bishop’s College School experience
• Meet prospective students and families and evaluate candidate’s strengths,
weaknesses, interests, academic history and other relevant observations
• Assess applications and supporting materials to provide an evaluation of
applicants’ credentials
• Follow up with families, students, educators, consultants, and school personnel in
timely manner through electronic, hand-written, and verbal forms of
communication
• Maintain and develop analytical reports and statistics for the admission process
through database reporting system
• Be an active member of the Admissions Committee
• Assist and support the development and maintenance of a surveying model for
the department
• Support financial assistance procedures as required
• Maintain inventory of admission print materials
• Support the planning, organization and execution of on-and-off campus eve

Exigences et conditions

Qualifications, Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in admissions administration at university or boarding school – a
requirement
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and set priorities as needed
• Adaptable to new software and tools related to communication
• Experience managing and working with student or adult volunteers
• Bilingualism English/French or a second language an asset
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility in scheduling – extensive travel for recruiting nationally and
internationally
• Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheets and Blackbaud database
software
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet the physical demands of sitting or standing for prolonged periods
of time, as well as the demands of travel
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and other general physical labor
