The Legal and Corporate Development Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the members of the Corporate Development and Legal teams. They will play a key role in driving operational efficiency initiatives within the department. They will assist with the coordination of daily tasks within the department and corporate projects (i.e. M&A, strategic initiatives, etc.), will report to the VP of Corporate Development and be part of a dynamic, flexible team that works with various departments.

Here’s what your day to day will look like in this role:

Work closely with the Corporate Development and Legal teams on various activities and initiatives;
Prepare and review correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, reports, spreadsheets and other documents using various software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel;
Prepare and review contractual and other legal documents (NDA, commercial propositions, letter agreements, requests for proposals, etc.);
Process legal invoices and manage related communications with outside counsel;
Triage, categorize and prioritize incoming requests from internal clients;
Assist the legal department in maintaining the inventory of personal data processing activities for privacy compliance;
Organize, centralize and tag commercial agreements and keep track of important contractual deadlines on our contract management online platform;
Assist with the management of the M&A pipeline (Research targets, document findings, organize target information in the M&A application, etc.);
Help in identifying and implementing department tools to streamline new or existing practices, as well as managing design, rollout, and educating team members on new systems;
Coordinate internal meetings, presentations and lunches;
Coordinate signature process (electronically or otherwise) of agreements and other documents;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Support, Compliance, IT, and Finance, as well as other corporate departments.

Exigences et conditions

Here's what you need to have and master to get the job:

Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma in Business Administration, Legal Assistant/Law Clerk, Communications, Project Management, or another related field
3 to 5 years of experience in an administrative, project management or legal role
Fluently bilingual with excellent written communication skills both in French and English
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to easily manage multiple files and priorities at the same time and work under pressure
Tech-savvy, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and an openness to learn new software
Strong interpersonal skills
Resourcefulness, adaptability, and flexibility are essential
Problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
Self-starter, hard working with a love of fast-paced environments
Previous experience in legal department or M&A is an asset
