Townshippers’ Association is looking for a University-level student of Communications, Administration or Arts Administration to work as a Festival Coordination & Promotion Assistant for the summer of 2021. This is a full-time 11-week position (35 hours/week at 14.00$/hour, remotely until further notice), beginning on June 14th, 2021 and ending on August 27th, 2021.
The successful candidate will:
• Assist the Townshippers’ Festival coordination team in supporting the fall festival’s organization and any of its sub-committees;
• Assist with the creation and editing of Association publications related to the festival (liaise with community members to create story lists for media, collect texts and photos, edit and categorize these, etc.);
• Assist the Townshippers’ Festival coordination team to develop, and carry out, a communications plan specific to the Festival with a focus on social media and social networking;
• Update the Association’s current media lists and contact information for media partners;
• Assist with the creation, collection and editing of festival related materials and content;
• Contribute to the development of a membership recruitment campaign and corresponding publicity as part of festival promotions;
• Other tasks as they relate to the planning, organization and promotion of Townshippers’ Festival

Because the Townshippers’ Association team is currently engaged in remote work, the successful candidate must have access to a dedicated workspace and reliable high-speed internet connection. Possession of a valid driver’s license and vehicle are considered an asset.
